Four people died and one was missing in a landslide triggered by heavy rain in a town in southern South Korea, Yonhap news agency said on Saturday. At 8:29 p.m. on Friday, a landslide buried five houses in a village in Gucheng County, quanluo Nandao, about 400 kilometers south of Seoul. A man in his 50s and two women in their 60s and 70s were rescued an hour later but were declared dead in the hospital. The rescue work stopped before midnight due to the continuous rainstorm and the danger of further landslide. A fourth victim, in his 70s, was found after a search resumed early in the morning.
